TOT SHABBAT – Welcome Shabbat with family, friends, music, prayer and stories. Gather in Aaron Court at 6:00 p.m. for candle lighting, Kiddush and Motzi, which is followed by a pot luck dinner. Please bring a nut-free salad or side dish for 6 – 8 people. Conclude the evening with a child-friendly service followed by dessert. Everyone welcome!
HIGH HOLY DAY SERVICES – Worship services for children below kindergarten will be held at 9:00am in Levy Hall on the first day of Rosh Hashanah (Monday, September 10), and Yom Kippur (Wednesday, September 19). Child care will be available immediately following so that parents may worship at 10:00am. There is no charge for child care for children of Temple members, but you must make a reservation by completing the form found in the High Holy Day mailing.
FINAL FRIDAYS – All families with children 5 years and younger accompanied by an adult are welcome to join our preschoolers to welcome Shabbat with candles, Kiddush, Hamotzi, singing, dancing, stories and more! Come on the last Friday of the month beginning September 25 from noon-12:30pm. Bring your friends. Everyone Welcome!
MISHPACHA MORNINGS – is a family education program designed especially for children two to five years accompanied by an adult. Meet in a Family Center Preschool classroom to learn about holidays and explore Jewish values through hands-on activities. Sessions are held on Sunday morning from 10:00-11:00am.
PJ LIBRARY STORY TIME – Come to Glick Children’s Library for holiday programs featuring stories and related crafts with Mimsie Leyton. Select a book to read at home. Wear your PJs! Everyone welcome!
OPEN PLAY – Beginning September 11, a preschool classroom and playground will be open on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-5:30 pm, where young children accompanied by an adult can come to play and hang out with friends.
ADULT LEARNING LOUNGE – On Sunday mornings throughout the year there are numerous educational opportunities especially for parents. Watch for emails highlighting speakers of particular interest to families with young children.
